The days are hot,
The bugs they bite,
The ass of my tankini is way too tight.
Sunscreen’s greasy,
My flowers nuked,
The minivan’s backseat smells of puke.
TVs in reruns,
My feet they stink,
Macaroni salad is clogging my sink.
Despite all the yuck,
I still love summer.
Cuz stuffing kids into snowsuits
Is such a mammoth bummer.
Inspired by Mama Kat’s super duper awesome writing prompts. Try it, you’ll like it.

This poem is brilliant! Not only is the ass too tight on mine, but the arm pit fat flows over the top of it…
Ha! This is brilliant…the tankinis are ALWAYS too tight!
“The tankinis are ALWAYS too tight” *phew*…I thought it was just me.
LMAO love it. Stopping by from Mama Kat’s
I also loved your post about your Dad! Mama Kat’s prompts are awesome…can’t believe I’m just discovering them now.
So very clever. We do not live in the land of snow suits — but I LOVE summer. It takes me till about September 30 till I’m finally done with hot. Enjoy it and all it’s short comings.
No snowsuits?? You, my friend, are “living the dream”.
